(D) Why are the categories organized in this way?
The Fundamental Philosophy behind this unique way of assessment
CIMC holds a very unique philosophy. We hope to challenge musicians (of all ages) in a manner that is reasonable yet challenging and meaningful - by taking into account the age, level (duration of study), individual background and experience of the developing musician.
We might all have seen cases where in certain competitions, competitors are classified exclusively by age (without acknowledging the background, duration of study). As a result, the comparison is not really meaningful or fair.
We hope to create a different format of evaluation, with the goal to fully challenge yet to inspire. To celebrate and recognize achievement that is attainable, which hopefully spurs artistic and personal development to the next level.
(E) When will winners receive their certificates and medals?
Immediately after announcing the results - our team is processing the certificates and they will be sent electronically to our participants within 14 working days.
Medals are in production as soon as we know the results. As soon as we receive them, they will be mailed out to our prize winners.
